About Andre Asbury

Andre Asbury is a local bridge expert and ACBL certified club director and teacher in Warner Robins, GA. He has been playing bridge for 10 years and has close to 2000 masterpoints. His best bridge result to date is 6th place in the 2007 Red Ribbon Pairs. He was a member of the USA team to compete in the FISU World Bridge Championships in Lodz, Poland in 2008. He somewhat regrets not competing in more junior events but enjoying a normal college life, getting an engineering degree, and starting an engineering career took priority over bridge.

Away from bridge, he works full-time as an electronics engineer. He frequently can be found at the tennis courts when the weather is nice. He is active on his relationship and travel blog, Je Veux Voyager as well as his other bridge blog, Bridge Maniacs, which will may have some overlap with this site but contain some less formal bridge posts as well. He occasionally appears in community theater plays in Macon, and is also an enthusiast for French movies.

His bridge interests in particular are defensive signals and canape bidding systems. He can frequently be found on Bridge Base as dredog03.
